Perfect World Project Support

Community funded · No paywalls · No trackers

Keep local government in plain sight.

The public record here — the meeting archives, the searchable transcripts, the money-trail portals, the field companions — is free to use, carries no ads, and sells no data. The shows pay their own way: our movies and podcasts run sponsor spots, like a station always has, and that money goes straight back into the archives. Donations cover everything the spots don't.

Where the money goes

The whole budget

The server

One VPS hosts the whole platform — every market, every archive, the live news tower, the lot. Hosting and bandwidth are the core bill.

Domains & names

everythingisperfect.org and the state subdomains that give every community its own front door.

Public-records fees

Agencies can charge copying and search fees on IPRA / TPIA / FOIA requests. Donations pay them so the records land in the archive, not behind a receipt.

Field hardware

The gear behind the modules: RF sensors, streaming kit for the 5 O'Clock News bureau, mesh radios for the Yellow Pages.

Everything above that line leaves again

Surplus doesn't sit in an account. It rolls into Derrick's Millions — a public fund with a countdown on every dollar, paid out to neighbors who pitch an idea.

Where the ads are — and aren't

The whole policy
Sponsors run here

The shows

Our movies and podcasts carry advertising — banner spots and TV-style commercial breaks, the way a station always has.

  • 5 O'Clock News broadcasts
  • HoodBuster tapes
  • KUSSR radio episodes and podcasts

Every spot is labeled as advertising and sold by us. A sponsor buys airtime on a show — nothing else. None of them gets a look at a story before it runs, or a say in whether it runs.

And never here

The public record

Anything that is a public record, or a tool for reading one, stays clean: no ads, no pre-rolls, no paywalls, no trackers.

  • Meeting archives, agendas, and transcripts
  • Market pages, Town Square, and your local hub
  • Money-trail portals, records tools, and field companions

This is the side that can't sell anything to keep itself alive — which is exactly why donations go here.

No money? Still plenty to give

Time & attention
The transparency promise, applied to ourselves: the public record here keeps no ads, no paywalls, and no user tracking — the visitor stats are public and cookie-less, and the server's own uptime record is on the Pulse ledger, outages included. Advertising is confined to the shows, labeled as advertising, and sold by us. Donations and sponsorships both buy infrastructure, never influence: neither a donor nor a sponsor gets a say in what gets archived, investigated, or published.
